Stop Sitting on That App and Get It Submitted to the Store! What are you waiting for? If your waiting for perfection or trying to find the time to tweak this or that with your Windows Phone app before you submit it into the Store – DON’T!

The Windows Phone team is currently running a FANTASTIC promotion for Windows Phone App Developers and they want to know if you are the Windows Phone Next App Star!

In preparation for the upcoming March Madness, this contest is being run a little differently. First, sign in to Dev Center to register for the Windows Phone Next App Star challenge. From there, your app will be rated, with the final top 64 apps getting placed into a tournament bracket for a head-to-head challenge. Consumers will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite app in each challenge until the ultimate App Star is crowned!

If you make it to the “Show” (top 64), here’s what you’ll receive…

  • A Nokia Lumia 920 Windows Phone
  • Featured Promotion in the Windows Phone Store
  • Exposure for winning apps via online media
  • A 1-year free Dev Center subscription

But WAIT there’s MORE!

The Windows Phone team just announced additional prizes to those apps that fight their way through each round. From fatboy charging pillows to speakers to Ultrabooks to Laura Foy gushing over your app on Hot Apps to a free ticket to a Microsoft Developer Conference!

If you happen to be the lucky one who makes it to the Championship round and hits a buzzer beater from the beyond the arc to pull off the win, well you’ll receive…

  • All of the above!, PLUS…
  • Featured placement of your app in a Windows Phone primetime TV ad in the U.S.!!!

How great it would it be to see your app featured in a national ad spot! Getting featured in the Windows Phone Store does wonders for your download numbers, imagine what a TV spot would do!

So…stop tweaking the app already and get it done and submitted! Don’t forget to submit your app to the contest on the Dev Center.
