With Visual Studio 2005 and the Team System SKU’s out the door, my good friend Richard Hundhausen’s book has shipped as well. If you’re looking for an overview of what Team System is and all of the many parts that make it up, this book is for you. Order it today!
Can’t wait until November 7th to get your hands on Visual Studio 2005 and SQL Server 2005??? Well, if you’re an MSDN subscriber, go grab them now!
If you’re not an MSDN subscriber, you can find the .NET Framework 2.0 SDK and redistributalpackages on the microsoft downloads site. The Express editions should be comingup on MSDN soon.
Find out what happens when you get a bunch of Microsoft VP’s together with Michele Leroux Bustamantearound a blackjack table a couple of weeks before the big launch. It’s Microsoft After Dark.
Thanks to all of the VSLive attendees that made it to my session on Configuration Management in ASP.NET 2.0. All in all I think it went pretty well. I was afraid I had to much content for the time alotted, but it worked out just fine in the end.
For those of you looking, you can grab the updated slide deck here.
Once again, if you have any questions from the session, or ASP.NET configuration in general, just drop me a line.
I would also like to thank the nice fellow who gave Rocky a handful of one-day passes to the Disney parks. Rocky was kind enough to invite me out last night for a little R-and-R at MGM Studios. The Aerosmith Roller Coaster was awesome as always and The Tower of Terror has been enhanced ten-fold from what it was.
Now it’s back home to pack and get the family to Cali for the family vacation. I think that’s going to be more stressful than speaking in front of a room full of developers thirsting for knowledge.
Anyhow… Thank You and Good Night.
It’s 12:30AM and my plane for Orlando leaves in 6 1/2 hours. That means, assuming I fall right asleep, I’m due for about 3 hours of sleep tonight. Ugh!
It’s off to Orlando tomorrow and VSLive. I would’ve liked to spend a few hours at EPCOT tomorrow and maybe grab dinner at Alfredo’s, but I don’t think that’s going to happen. I have to much work to do in to little time.
I’m in the midst of changing some of my slides and getting my demos all in order. There’s so many cool things to talk about with configuration in ASP.NET 2.0, it’s hard to decide what to discuss within the hour given us.
Hopefully I’ll at least get to see more of the hotel other than my room and the speaker’s lounge. If you’re at VSLive and would like to grab a cocktail or two, shoot me a line.
Next stop… VSLive/Orlando 2005!
